TECHNICAL TIP: WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF AUXILIARY AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEMS?

VB-SemiAir

An auxiliary air suspension system supports the existing suspension of the vehicle and enables the suspension to be adjusted within specific limits. Auxiliary air suspension systems are often added to vehicles that (regularly) carry heavy loads or sometimes have variable loads. An air spring is fitted between the chassis and the rear axle, which raises the ride height of the vehicle and generates greater spring travel. The auxiliary air suspension system therefore helps to increase the level of comfort and stability when travelling in your vehicle.

Our auxiliary air suspension system, also known as VB-SemiAir, is supplied as a two-chamber system. This means that the air springs are not connected to each other. The use of a two-chamber system allows left and right to be adjusted separately, enabling the vehicle to be levelled even when it is loaded unevenly.

We offer various different types of auxiliary air suspension system to suit your needs:

Planning a summer check-up? Don’t forget your (air)suspension

Having your motorhome checked before setting off? A wise decision. Summer is the perfect time for beautiful road trips – and that often means long journeys with a full load. A complete vehicle inspection is a must, and that includes your (air)suspension system.
