Meet Stan Mombarg: Area Sales Manager BeNeLux

Changes all around. Because… when you hear a colleague is moving to a new position within the organisation, you can bet the position they've left will need to be filled in its turn, either internally or externally. This was the case for Stan Mombarg, our new Area Sales Manager BeNeLux, who will be taking over from Michael Brilman, responsible for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg over the past 13 years.

It's hardly worth asking whether Stan's move to a new position was a case of being in the right place at the right time, having an eye for the main chance or careful career planning. A change in roles elsewhere in the organisation made this young man decide to apply internally for this vacant position. This set a chain of events in motion – from applicant to candidate – and ultimately hearing in due course that he had been successful in his application, and that he would soon be taking up a position as the new Area Sales Manager BeNeLux, a challenge he has grasped with both hands.

This is a great (and rapid) step up the career ladder for Stan in the – as yet – early days of his career at VB-Airsuspension. Having graduated in Automotive Business Management at the IVA in Driebergen, Stan joined VB-Airsuspension at the beginning of 2022. Following a successful interview, he took on the position of Junior Product Management Specialist, spent time getting to know our organisation and – thanks to colleague Erik Brus (Product Management Specialist) – became well-versed in the technical aspects of our products. During this period, alongside his own commercial role in the Product Management department, Stan increasingly attended trade fairs in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, acting in a support role to his predecessor Michael Brilman.

Partly due to moves in the Sales department, Michael Brilman's position, as Area Sales Manager BeNeLux, became vacant. Stan put his best foot forward in the hope of being successful, and his gamble paid off! He has been in his new role since 1 October 2023, where he is bringing a fresh perspective to the future plans for this region. This sales area boasts a large diversity of VB-Partners, with a focus on maintaining and growing this network – a challenge he is embracing with open arms.

Stan, congratulations on your new position and, last but not least: huge thanks to Michael Brilman for your many years of hard work and input to the VB Network.
