Off-road motorhomes based on the MAN TGE 4x4 are built for adventures beyond the beaten track. They are often equipped with additional components, such as solar panels, and are used in a wide range of conditions. This places higher demands on the vehicle, and particularly on the suspension.
The standard suspension is often not designed for this. Under higher loads or on rough terrain, the driving behaviour may feel less stable. In addition, the extra equipment may cause the motorhome to exceed the maximum permissible weight. Our suspension solutions are developed to provide more comfort, stability and control, while preserving the character of the MAN TGE.

Full air suspension for MAN TGE 4x4
The VB-FullAir system is a fully automatic air suspension system that replaces the original suspension. Depending on the vehicle configuration, this system can be installed on the front axle, rear axle or both axles.
This system is suitable when maximum comfort and stability are required, with minimal manual adjustments during the journey.
Off-road function
With the VB-FullAir 4C version, an integrated off-road function allows the vehicle to be temporarily raised by approximately 30 mm in specific situations. This creates additional ground clearance when required. The exact functionality depends on the vehicle configuration and system settings.
Semi air suspension for MAN TGE 4x4
VB-SemiAir is a semi air suspension system that supports the existing suspension. The system is suitable when additional support is required, for example with varying loads, without fully replacing the original suspension.
This system is available as a basic and comfort system.
Reinforced coil springs for MAN TGE 4x4
For motorhomes with a permanent additional load, VB-CoilSpring is a suitable mechanical suspension solution. This system strengthens the existing suspension and is designed for continuous higher axle loads.
This solution is permanent and therefore not adjustable.
Is your MAN TGE motorhome too heavy? Consider uprating
Off-road motorhomes, such as the MAN TGE 4x4, are often heavily loaded due to conversions and additional equipment. When the vehicle exceeds the maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW), this affects safety and means the vehicle no longer complies with legal regulations.
It is possible to uprate the maximum gross vehicle weight, but this requires a modification to the suspension system, such as VB-FullAir. Installing one of our (air) suspension systems does not automatically uprate the vehicle. However, the vehicle will then be equipped with the correct system and the required documentation to make uprating possible.
