We are pleased to announce that we recently expanded our product range to include a full air suspension system (VB-FullAir 2C) on the rear axle of the new Volkswagen Caddy.
In the years from 2004 to 2019, the various Volkswagen Caddy models needed a separate kit – back then we had two kits available. Previously, a different kit had to be used depending on the wheelbase, i.e. the distance between the centre of the front axle and rear axle. We had a kit available for both an SWB (short wheelbase) and an LWB (long wheelbase). We have now developed a single kit that can be used for the various Volkswagen Caddy models.
What are the benefits of full air suspension?
Full air suspension is an automatic, adjustable solution to a (suspension) problem where the existing leaf or coil spring suspension is replaced by a full air suspension system.
The air suspension system filters out unevenness in the road surface, improving ride comfort. While driving, the vehicle constantly remains at the ride height which is set during installation. The standard ride height – the ideal height for comfort and stability – is determined during the development of the air suspension and is fixed. The driveability and stability of the vehicle are improved, which in turn increases safety. It also enables the access/loading platform height to be raised and lowered, allowing for easy vehicle entry/exit and for loading/unloading goods.
You can operate the various functions of the VB-FullAir 2C air suspension system remotely via the electronic control unit (VB-ASCU).
