How does the VB remote control work?

Placed on 27/06/2017

With a VB remote control, it's easy to operate the air suspension options. You will receive this remote control with our full air suspension systems (VB-FullAir 2C, VB-FullAir 3C and VB-FullAir 4C). Depending on the type of air suspension system and the basic vehicle, one of the VB remote controls shown below is supplied with your air suspension system.

In this overview we will explain the functions of the VB remote control.

M1 / M2 - Memory function: stored height is activated
Up arrow / down arrow - Manual control to vary the loading/unloading height
Ferry - The rear is raised to the maximum level to make it easy to drive onto a ferry, for example
Load space - The front axle is automatically raised and the rear is lowered to the maximum level to make it easy to load and unload the vehicle at the rear
Autolevel - This option includes a digital levelling function that can be used to move your vehicle into a horizontal position (as far as the spring travel permits) simply by pressing the button
Sport - Lower the level of the vehicle by around 30 mm for better handling and firm chassis adjustment
Off Road - Increase the level of the vehicle by around 30 mm for greater ground clearance on rough terrain
Car Park - Lower the vehicle to virtually the maximum level to make it easier to get in and out. You can also use this function (depending on the original vehicle height) to enter a car park with a low roof or to reduce the ride height to drive under a gate
Water discharge - Tilts the vehicle to the side with the water discharge to allow the water tank and the toilet tank to be fully emptied

Changing the ride height with the VB remote control
While driving, the vehicle will constantly remain at the ride height pre-set during installation. This is the ideal ride height for maximum comfort and optimum stability. However, the ride height can be changed temporarily using the VB remote control functions:

  • You can adjust the ride height when travelling at a maximum speed of approx. 25 to 30 km per hour using the 'Ferry', 'Off Road' and 'Car Park' functions.
  • The 'Sport' function allows you to change the ride height at any speed.
  • The other functions on the remote control can only be operated when the vehicle is stationary.

If you have any questions about the VB remote control or would like to know more, your VB-Partner will be happy to help.
