Large order from Ruthmann

The German vehicle-builder, Ruthmann, is well known as a specialist in the construction of light special vehicles, in particular the Flexiloader and the Cargoloader. They have recently placed a large order with VB-Airsuspension and the company from Varsseveld will deliver upto 150
air-suspension systems over the next 12 months.

The contract will continue to run beyond this period and was signed on the Rettmobil Messe exhibition, in Fulda, by Mr. U. Bauer of Ruthmann and Mr. I.S. Voorhorst, the Commercial and R&D Director of VB-Airsuspension.

The Flexiloader and Cargoloader concepts will now be supplied with the air-suspension, as a means of increasing the operating flexibility of the vehicle. With the help of the VB R&D team, Ruthmann have created a new-generation of Flexiloader and Cargoloader, that is lighter, cheaper and quicker & easier to operate.

The two companies worked closely together to develop the suspension. Ruthmann will provide the steel-work, with
VB supplying the air spring, compressor and the electronic control system. Early feedback from customers is encouraging as the ride and handling of the vehicles has also been much-improved. The vehicles will be distributed in the Netherlands trough Cosmo, the DAF dealer based in the North East.
